Like most people, I grew up believing that the trick to getting ahead in life is to go to college and get an education. Well, I got an education, all right, but it wasn’t in any classroom. As it turned out, I learned my biggest lesson right in my own damn apartment. It was my senior year, and I had …

Currents of people flowed around him, unhindered, unchallenged. Bumped and nudged, wanting to push the whole murmuring lot aside, Tim bitterly held his ground, stretching on his toes to peer over the bobbing heads. He’d lost Adrienne again. He grimaced and dug through his pockets as instructed. The airport was a portrait of bustle and rush, and he was stuck. …

I rolled my eyes as I stared at my reflection in the mirror. “I can’t believe you’re dragging me to do this, Amy.”My bright blonde roommate gave me a grin. “I promise, we’ll have fun. You need a man, dressing in a slutty Halloween costume with me is how you’re going to get one.”I looked at the barely …

The sun was going down and the air was getting cool as the fairy lights above their table flicked on. Jess and Ben were sitting at a table of 8 amongst 12 other tables, all full of guests. It was Jess’ childhood best friend’s wedding – Jess hadn’t even expected to be invited, but she was glad to come have …

There I was again, on a date. I have tried so many apps, and yes, I have tried it the old fashion way but I just don’t have time for that. Most of the time I agree to see someone that is advertised as in shape, but the person that shows up is fat or ugly, and they all say …

Thirty-two Winchester Road sat just off the main bypass heading into the West End of London where small businesses and retailers of all shapes and sizes went about their trade. Today was the 20th of November and a steady drizzle fell from leaden skies as the huddled masses of the grand old city went about their daily routines.Inside number …

It was in the early 70’s when I first met my wife. I saw her running down the beach that ran in front of my recently remodeled home. She was lean and supple in her string bikini. That first night, after she accepted my offer to have dinner, we made passionate love. She was a sexual maniac. She stood in …

I woke up in bed with a kiss from Eve as she left to go to college. “Go back to sleep babe, I love you. I’ll see you later” she whispered before closing the door behind her. This had become a regular occurrence lately, I work late shifts in a bar so am often in a sleep haze until about …
